Suspicion of the following conditions, among others, will often require an X-ray:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>heart problems<\/li>\n<li>fluid in the chest cavity or lungs<\/li>\n<li>eaten foreign objects<\/li>\n<li>osteoarthritis<\/li>\n<li>breaks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We have a digital X-ray machine which allows us to immediately assess the pictures taken. If there is any doubt, the pictures are referred to a radiologist specialist.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Precaution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Most animals undergo this examination without any problem, but sometimes an intoxication is required to arrive at a suitable photograph. Should this still be necessary, it is important that your animal has not eaten for at least 12 hours prior to the examination.<\/p>\n<p>Because of the radiation, it is required by law that you cannot be present during the X-ray.
